SESSION
CHANGES
First I would like to start by thanking everyone for their
Business and support of Enfield Dek and Roller Hockey Park over the past 12
months. While I would love to say it was a great year in league play,
Tournaments, playoffs and rink conditions, I KNOW I would only be kidding
myself. In 1992 when I first opened the Rink, I spent many hours developing and
building the rink up to 70 plus teams. This past year I thought I would be able
to do the same. Without making excuses, I have failed at delivering a product that you the players were told you
would have. I have re-dedicated myself with my team of Investors, Refs and
Managers in making Enfield Dek and
Roller
Hockey
Park
a great place to play Hockey and other sports that the facility will run.
The following is the feedback from you the players on my
failures. While difficult to write down, I know players have many options on
where to play, and it is my hope that you will see my passion for the game AND
enforcement of our rules, so we can improve our facility to a point where your
money spent is worth every cent.
AREAS OF FOCUS FOR IMPROVEMENT
While there were many valid
complaints the top ones are listed below:
- FOLLOW
THROUGH ON WHAT I START AND SAY…
- Do
not allow players who do not pay, play.
- Player
rosters set before the season and monitored to avoid team stacking.
- Disallow
teams that can not find players which leads to forfeits for teams that paid
to play a game.
- Keep
the refs consistent with the type of play we want at our rink and a
consistent understanding of the House Bylaws.
- Make
teams have matching jersey’s with numbers AND enforce the rules in the
Bylaws.
- Have
at least one ref on the floor at all times between games so games can start
on time.
- Lower
the fee due to the State of the economy.
- Update
the BYLAWS.
